BEST SPORTS BAR
IN LITTLE ITALY

Padres, NFL, college football, World Cup. Full audio on the big game. Pitchers cold. Kitchen open through overtime.

A real sports bar doesn't need 60 TVs or a $200 reservation fee. It needs the right game on, the audio turned up, and a bartender who knows when to bring another pitcher. Here's where to actually watch in Little Italy and downtown San Diego.

1. Waterfront Bar & Grill — Little Italy

The neighborhood sports bar that's been here since 1933. Walking distance from Petco Park for Padres games — pre-game pitchers, post-game crowds, watch parties for road games with full audio. NFL Sunday Ticket, college footballSaturdays (we'll put your team's game on — just ask), and every World Cup 2026 match starting June 11. Full kitchen running through extra time and last call.

2. Padres watch parties & pre-game

We're about a 10-minute walk from Petco Park. For home games, locals stop in for happy hour beers before first pitch and come back after the 7th inning. For road games, the game is on with audio, no question. Pitchers, burgers, the works.

3. What to look for in a sports bar

  • Audio on the big game. Music staying on is a sign you're in the wrong place.
  • Will put your team's game on if asked. No "sorry, we only do one channel."
  • Kitchen open through the end of the game — not closing at 9pm.
  • Pitchers and bucket specials. Cheaper per ounce, better for groups.
  • No cover, no reservations for regular-season games.

College football Saturday at the Waterfront

We're an SEC / Big Ten / Pac-12 friendly bar — meaning if you're a transplant, your team's game is on. Saturday mornings start with breakfast and Bloody Marys; afternoons run through every kick. Ask the bartender, they'll put it up.

Game day, every day

2044 Kettner Blvd, Little Italy. Open daily 8am–2am. Walk in for the first pitch, the kickoff, or the opening whistle.
