WHY EVERYONE
ENDS UP AT WATERFRONT
The unwritten rule of a night out in Little Italy.

If you've spent a weekend in Little Italy, you already know. The night can start anywhere. It tends to end at Waterfront.
It's always open
8am to 2am. Every single day. We've been doing the same hours since 1933. When everything else in the neighborhood closes the kitchen at ten and the doors at midnight, we're the room that's still going.
The room works
A good bar isn't a design choice. It's a long-running crowd, a bartender who reads the room, a price that doesn't insult you, and a kitchen that still cares at midnight. Waterfront has all of that without trying to brand itself.
You'll see someone you know
Half the neighborhood drinks here. So do the people who moved away and came back. So do the day-trippers who heard about the burgers. The mix is the whole point.
It's the dive bar San Diego built its memories in
Election nights. World Series. Fights. First dates. Last dates. Bartenders' birthdays. The room remembers. San Diego's oldest tavern doesn't just survive — it absorbs.
So plan whatever you want
You'll be here by 11.
