March Memories at the Waterfront: Locals, Sliders, & Good Times

June 11, 2026

Alright, folks, March 2026 is officially in the books, and what a month it was. From the usual steady stream of regulars to a few more out-of-towners than usual, thanks to the festivals rolling through, our little corner of Little Italy was buzzing. It's always a good sign when the joint is loud and lovely, brimming with good company and the clatter of plates, and March truly delivered.

We poured countless cold ones, flipped what felt like a million sliders, and watched as friendships, old and new, formed right here under our roof. There’s something special about seeing this place, established way back in '33, continue to be a go-to for so many. It’s a testament to the fact that some things, like a perfect burger and a genuine welcome, just never go out of style.

Why Folks Keep Coming Back to Your Old Favorite

It’s not just the grub or the full bar that makes the Waterfront what it is; it’s the whole damn atmosphere. March highlighted this beautifully. We saw familiar faces propped up at the bar from breakfast right through to last call, and new folks stumbling in, often on a recommendation, then sticking around because they liked the cut of our jib. What’s our secret? We reckon it’s not much of a secret at all: just honest hospitality.

"Vibey and homey… felt like the town hang out, but they were super fun and chill with all the influx of CRSSD festival goers!" — Francesca P.

That perfectly sums up the vibe we strive for. Whether you're a local just popping in for a quick bite or someone here for a big event, we aim for that 'town hang out' feel. Our crew works hard to keep things friendly and efficient, even when the place is packed to the gills. And frankly, our patrons are a huge part of that. Y'all make this place. We’re just here to serve up the drinks.

The Food That Fuels the Fun

Ah, the food. It's simple, it's classic, and it's exactly what you want when you want it. Our kitchen was churning out the hits all month. We're talking about those famous sliders that disappear faster than a wave at high tide, and the burgers that always hit the spot. Many of you mentioned the late-night kitchen, and trust us, we hear you loud and clear. Keeping the griddle hot until 1 AM (sharp!) isn't just for us; it's for you folks who get a craving long after other spots have shuttered.

"The kitchen is open until 1am sharp (bless), which means late-night cravings are handled properly. The sliders are just what the doctor ordered — simple, classic, and exactly what you want with a drink in hand." — Desirae PK

This kind of feedback warm our grizzled hearts. We believe the food should be just as reliable and comforting as the company. It's bar food, yeah, but as one regular put it, "bar food but better." We'll take that as a compliment any day of the week. Come morning, our legendary breakfast burritos and classic brunch fare were keeping heads above water for many a Saturday and Sunday crowd. It's all part of our story of being here for the community, morning, noon, and night.

A True Neighborhood Spot (Even for the Visitors)

March, with its mix of locals and visitors, truly underscored that the Waterfront punches above its weight as a genuine neighborhood bar, not just one of the many Little Italy bars. We saw folks wandering in, drawn by the historic charm, the vintage photos that line our walls, and that undeniable 'lived-in' feel. Those pictures? They ain't just decor; they're echoes of everyone who's pulled up a stool here since 1933.

It’s the kind of place where you can sit and wind down, whether you’re a "slower paced kinda guy" or you're looking for "a hell of a time." That flexibility, that ability to be whatever you need it to be, is something we pride ourselves on. We've heard stories from folks who came in for an afternoon brunch, had such a good time, they decided to come back that very evening. That’s the kind of spontaneous fun that keeps things interesting around here.
